ART / ARCEP certified for telephone engineering

Created by the 1996 legislation to regulate the telecoms sector, ART is the Telecoms Regulating Body (Autorité de Régulation des Télécommunications).

In 2005, law-makers decided ART should also regulate postal activities. ART then became ARCEP: "Autorité de Régulation des Communications Electroniques et des Postes" (Electronic and postal communication regulating body).

The ARCEP is an independent administrative body. It is a governmental body but remains independent.

HOME AUTOMATION INTEGRATOR in compliance with EIB / KNX standards

EIB Standard

KNX Lighting management is the basic feature of home automation systems. Over the years, these features have evolved to control for example blinds, heating, ventilation or energy measurements.

The European Installation Bus or EIB is the standard developed by a number of European manufacturers with a view to harmonise all home automation systems. It was established in the nineties and has continued to win over other manufacturers and products over the following years.

KNX Standard

KNXIn 2000, two new European standards were implemented. At the same time as the EIB, two new standards appeared: the Batibus (heating and cooling systems) and the EHS (European Home Systems), more specifically adapted to brown and white goods.

As competing would have had little meaning, the three instigators decided to agree to a common converging standard. These efforts resulted in the KNX (Konnex) standard. The EIB was used as the basis as this system was the most advanced.

Therefore, this advancement meant there were very few modifications to the EIB systems. All EIB systems installed in the early nineties are compatible with KNX equipment. The advancement represented by the KNX standard relates to the addition over time of a series of communication methods, of which wireless communication using radiofrequencies.
